Position Overview

Funraise is hiring a Marketing leader to drive our next phase of growth. We’ve built a world-class team with prodigious creative, strategic, and analytical talent; we’re looking for a team captain who can direct them by keeping one eye on the prize and the other on progress.

You can masterfully knit together the teams’ strengths to execute dynamic, high-impact marketing campaigns. 

Serving as the Marketing leader, you will play a hands-on role in executing Funraise’s go-to-market (GTM) system. You will own the planning and evaluation processes, from concepting campaigns to dialing in performance marketing channels and reporting the impact on Funraise’s bottom line. 

Location: Remote. Strong preference will be given to candidates in (or willing to work) US Eastern Time Zone.

Salary: $115-$140K. Based on experience and location.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Manage and report on inbound, organic, and performance marketing, project and resource management, GTM strategy and execution for key product, brand, and partnership initiatives, and revenue contribution at the highest levels of the company 
  • Lead a dynamic marketing team into the next stage of Funraise’s marketing journey
  • Plan, negotiate, and support Funraise’s event marketing program to convert event investments into customer acquisition
  • Partner with Sales and Product teams to generate/scale pipeline and increase adoption and retention
  • Work under pressure in changing situations with a calm and professional manner

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Head of Marketing, Director of Marketing, Marketing Lead, or Senior Marketer, leading and growing teams with proven progression in leadership responsibilities 
  • 3+ years of experience in demand generation or marketing operations, collaborating with cross-functional partners, and keeping complex projects moving forward for clear impact on bottom-line revenue
  • Experience leading SEO, SEM, PPC, marketing database, email, social media, and/or display advertising campaigns
  • Expertise employing customer life-cycle marketing, scaling brand awareness and demand, optimizing through experimentation and A/B testing, and managing budgets, resources, and teams
  • Experience with traditional marketing tactics like trade shows and partnerships as well as digital marketing tactics and process automation to promote SaaS product-led products
  • Growth-driven mindset and attitude

30, 60, 90 day plan

At 30 days you will have

  • Completed onboard training and met with your peers in all departments
  • Become an expert in Funraise’s product, market, and GTM strategy
  • Engaged with your team and embedded into status meetings and workflows
  • Investigated team efficiency and value add opportunities
  • Investigated any and all marketing data

At 60 days you will have

  • Overseen current data flows
  • Built marketing metric and revenue reporting dashboards
  • Launched testable campaign(s)
  • Overseen marketing automations and contributed to full funnel assets
  • Engaged with peers in other departments to understand growth opportunities
  • Identified desired roles for the marketing team

At 90 days you will have

  • Reported marketing metrics and revenue contribution to executives
  • Set a 12 month plan and content calendar
  • Prioritized most significant issues and opportunities
  • Made impact to our brand awareness and reach
  • Made impact to team and variable spend efficiency
  • Made impact to revenue

Your contribution will be reviewed on the following

  • Ability to work effectively with team and peers in other departments
  • Ability to grow brand awareness and new customer acquisition
  • Ability to gather, organize, and sustain healthy marketing data
  • Ability to report on metrics and revenue contribution
  • Ability to make projections and reach goals
  • Ability to innovate and lead to new initiatives

  • Ability to balance team workload and effectively utilize team expertise
